For more than forty years a Zagreb film professor taught generations of filmmakers, and spoke of his Academy membership and his friendship with Spielberg. When he told his students he had leukaemia, they started a public fundraising campaign for his treatment. The film looks at what followed, and at the decades of collective silence that kept his image intact.
The film combines documentary material with staged scenes, and Vida appears in it as one of the characters. It was her graduation film for the master's programme in Film and Television Directing and Production at VERN' University.
It premiered at CINEHILL in Fužine in July 2025, where it won the second audience award. It has since screened at the 23rd Liburnia Film Festival in Opatija, CINEHILL na bis in Zagreb, the 34th Days of Croatian Film in Karlovac, the 12th Student International Film Festival in Rijeka and the student programme of the 73rd Pula Film Festival, and abroad in Klosters, Switzerland.
Vida Žagar handled very skilfully a situation in which her room for manoeuvre was limited.
